A Nevada Senate committee passed an amendment to a bill that would require the state to publicly disclose the names of businesses and investors awarded marijuana licenses.

The issue came to the forefront in late 2018 when the state awarded the bulk of 61 provisional recreational marijuana licenses to a handful of applicants but didn’t disclose the winners’ names.

Suits have been filed against the state by a number of losing applicants, the Las Vegas Journal-Review reported.

The bill amendment is now headed for a vote in the full Senate.
