Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Commission is extending the application period for cultivation and processing licenses because of technical glitches.
At stake are 10 processor permits and four cultivation licenses.
Additionally, the commission said there were “widespread errors” with applications that didn’t redact names associated with their companies, the Sun reported.
Such redactions are said to be required to guarantee “fairness and impartiality” in the scoring process.
Now, businesses will have to hand deliver their applications to the commission’s office in Linthicum by the June 24 deadline to be considered for one of the 14 permits.
