Marijuana Business Magazine | May-June 2020 30 State News IndustryDevelopments | International & State Alaska The Marijuana Control Board implemented emergency rules allowing for drive-thru and curbside pickup of marijuana products, a move that is expected to bolster public health and potentially sales during the coronavirus outbreak. Business owners that abide by certain rules also are being allowed to transport marijuana products by commercial plane or boat. The emergency regulations will run for 120 days unless modified. Arizona Phoenix-based multistate marijuana operator Harvest Health & Recreation is in litigation with Interurban Capital Group, the former owner of the Have a Heart dispensary group that Harvest acquired in March for $85.8 million. Harvest CEO Steve White unveiled that news during his company’s quarterly results call. White said Harvest and Interurban entered the acquisition discussions in good faith, and it was only after the transaction closed that disagreements arose. No specific details about the litigation were released.
