The revised rules, recently approved by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, extend until July 1 the deadline for processors and producers to create compliant packaging, among other changes. The new rules resolve some concerns raised by an announcement almost a year ago that the industry feared would result in many types of cannabis-infused candy being removed from store shelves. Wisconsin Republican lawmakers for the first time introduced a bill that would legalize medical marijuana in the state. Democrats have unsuccessfully tried for years to get cannabis legalization passed in the GOP-controlled Legislature.
