Among other things, the commission stressed the need for “stringent experience and financial qualifications” for any applicant seeking a license as a cultivator, processor, transporter, testing laboratory or dispensary. A bill to legalize medical marijuana in Alabama is expected to be introduced in the Legislature this year. Arkansas Medical marijuana dispensaries in Arkansas sold more than $28 million in the first calendar year of legal sales, according to the state Department of Finance and Administration.
