If approved for trading, MediPharm would join a growing list of Canadian cannabis companies turning to U.S. stock exchanges in order to tap the globe’s largest pool of institutional investors. The company would maintain its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LABS. MediPharm also recently secured a credit facility of $29 million (CA$38.7 million) with a Schedule 1 bank. Kindred Spirits The James E. Wagner Cultivation Corp. (JWC) in Ontario entered into a brokerage agreement with Kindred Partners , under which Kindred will serve as the exclusive broker for JWC’s adult-use cannabis products in Canada. Kindred is a specialty brokerage and services company for cannabis products that is wholly owned by Breakthru Beverage Group , an alcohol beverage brokerage. The agreement also covers JWC’s derivative line of cannabis extract products currently under development and expected to come to market in the first calendar quarter of 2020. Health Canada approved an operations and storage license for Canopy’s 150,000-square-foot beverage production facility at its headquarters in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The company will produce 11 beverages in its first wave of production and plans to increase that number throughout the year. Timing of specific product availability will vary by province.
