Marijuana Business Magazine July 2019
July 2019 | mjbizdaily.com 39 North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum approved changes to the state’s medical marijuana law that will increase patient access and therefore expand business opportunities for cannabis license holders. Changes include adding 12 qualifying conditions, allowing an MMJ manufacturing facility to cultivate 1,000-plus plants, expanding the definition of health-care provider and more. State regulators also are offering an electronic card option for medical cannabis patients in conjunction with BioTrackTHC, which is implementing the state’s seed-to-sale system. Ohio Medical marijuana retail shops began selling cannabis-infused gummy products in early May, but supply was limited and at least one dispensary sold out within days of receiving its shipment. As of June, only two marijuana product manufacturers were operating in Ohio, which means MMJ edibles are not yet widely available. The items are sold for about $80 for 11 gummies, each with 10 milligrams of THC.
