Marijuana Business Magazine | July 2019 36 Montana The state House of Representatives passed a bill to eliminate a requirement that patients have only one medical marijuana provider. The bill would allow patients to buy MMJ from any provider with a limit of 5 ounces per month and 1 ounce per day. It also sets licensing fees on the amount of cannabis each cultivator decides to grow, with fees from $500 to $20,000 per year. The state Senate must approve amendments made in the House. Nebraska A bill aimed at legalizing medical cannabis in Nebraska did not move forward in the state Senate after backers reported they couldn’t get enough votes to end a filibuster by opponents. The measure’s sponsor, state Sen. AnnaWishart, said she was looking toward a potential state ballot measure in next year’s election.
