Canopy Rivers-LeafLink Partnership Canopy Rivers , the Toronto investment arm of Canopy Growth, and LeafLink , a wholesale cannabis industry marketplace with offices in Los Angeles and New York, created LeafLink Services International , a venture that exclusively licenses and leverages LeafLink’s business-to-business marketplace and supply-chain technology platform for deployment throughout regulated international cannabis markets. Under the terms of the agreement, LeafLink has made an initial capital commitment of $1 million (CA$1.3 million) along with an exclusive, royalty- free license for all non-U.S. marketplaces for its proprietary B2B software platforms and service solutions. Canopy Rivers has committed an initial equity investment of $2 million (CA$2.7 million) and has the option to invest an incremental $6 million (CA$8.1 million) on preferred terms. LeafLink and Canopy Rivers hold approximately 82% and 18%, respectively, of LeafLink International after the initial transaction. Choom Eyes New Jersey Vancouver, British Columbia-based marijuana retail chain Choom Holdings —whose major investors include Aurora Cannabis—signed a letter of intent to acquire an interest in an unidentified dispen- sary license applicant in New Jersey, with the goal of acquiring multiple licenses in the state.
