Eco says all employees are Oakland residents, and half of them have served prison time for marijuana-related charges. Eco Cannabis cultivates MJ for its namesake product line and offers brands including Mary’s Medicinals, Kiva Confections, OM Edibles, Kikoko and Puffco. Seattle Tech Firms Merge to Create Tracking Company Dauntless , a 6-year-old company that develops point-of-sale and tracking software for the cannabis industry, acquired Soro , a marijuana sales and customer relationship management firm. The two businesses, both based in Seattle, plan to create a platform that serves growers, packagers and retailers across the United States. Terms weren’t disclosed. CANADA DEVELOPMENTS Ascent’s Descent Financially troubled cannabis firm Ascent Industries agreed to sell its Canadian assets for a cash amount that will be disclosed after the Supreme Court of British Columbia has signed off on the transaction. Ascent was granted creditor protection in early March to address liquidity issues after its cultivation subsidiary, Agrima Botanicals , was stripped of its license over infractions related to noncompliance. The British Columbia-based company entered into an asset purchase agreement with Bzam Management , an affiliate of Gulf Bridge , involving all the assets comprising the Canadian business. The deal does not include Ascent’s cannabis cultivation, production and distribution assets in Nevada, Oregon and Denmark.
