Connecticut Regulators approved nine medical marijuana dispensary licenses, doubling the current number in Connecticut. The new dispensaries were selected from 73 appli- cations as part of a competitive scoring process. The newly approved dispensaries (and their locations): Bhadra Seva (Newington), GR Vending CT (Groton), Willow Brook Wellness (Meriden), Tedra Health (Mansfield), C-3 Ventures (Torrington), Arrow Alternative Care #3 (Stamford), Bluepoint Wellness of Westport (Westport), FFD Central (Windham) and Affinity Health &Wellness (New Haven). Florida A legal case that could further open Florida’s medical marijuana market to new entrepreneurs and hopeful plant-touching MMJ companies has been put on hold by Florida’s 1st District Court of Appeal. If the Florida health department wins out, the state’s 14 licensed MMJ companies will continue to hold the only licenses in the enormous market, while companies such as the plaintiff, Florigrown, won’t be allowed to grow or sell medical cannabis. If the appeals court upholds the lower court’s decision and finds for Florigrown, that could lead to a market with no license caps.
