The Bureau of Cannabis Control will allow marijuana deliveries anywhere in the state, regardless of local municipalities’ bans. Contract manufacturing, which allows a licensed maker of edibles or concentrates to produce and package products on behalf of an unlicensed business, also will be allowed. Regulations again switched who is responsible for child-resistant packaging: Once 2020 hits, manufacturers and growers must have each product ready in child-resistant packaging before shipping their goods to retailers. Colorado Doctor’s Orders, a vertically integrated cannabis company in Denver, voluntarily recalled marijuana products that had elevated levels of mold and yeast. According to the city’s Department of Public Health and Environment, at least 10 dispensaries that carry Doctor’s Orders products were affected by the recall. The public health agency said other dispensaries that purchased wholesale products from Doctor’s Orders before Aug. 1, 2018, also could be affected.
