The license allows C21 to: • Import raw CBD extracts and concentrates as well as finished CBD products. • Conduct CBD processing, wholesale distribution of CBD and CBD finished products. • Re-export CBD concentrates and CBD processed products to Europe and internationally.  C21 Investments opened a representative office in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital, to oversee its operations as well as pursue other business-development opportunities across Europe. $15 Million Alberta Deal Alberta marijuana companies IGC Resources and Westleaf Cannabis closed a brokered private placement of $15 million (CA$20 million), including $2.2 from British Columbia-based Tilray . The capital raise was completed in connection with Westleaf’s proposed reverse takeover of IGC , which received conditional approval from the TSX Venture Exchange. The company plans to use the proceeds to support expansion and general corporate purposes. Supreme Acquisition Supreme Cannabis in Ontario acquired Bayfield Strategy , a Toronto communications and public relations firm, for $1.5 million (CA$2 million). Bayfield CEO Riyaz Lalani will become Supreme’s chief operating officer. Canadian Firm’s Proposed Purchase of Women Grow Scrapped HollyWeed North Cannabis’ proposed acquisition of Women Grow was called off after both companies mutually agreed to terminate the deal. In September, HollyWeed North–a British Columbia consulting firm that also has multiple marijuana brands–had signed a letter of intent to acquire Women Grow for undisclosed terms. Women Grow is a U.S. company that launched as a for-profit venture in 2014 to empower women in the cannabis industry by providing networking opportunities, mentoring and business support. Officials from HollyWeed North and Women Grow declined to comment on why the proposed acquisition was terminated. Grower Partners With Specialty Foods Company Newstrike Brands , the parent company of Up Cannabis, a licensed producer in Oakville, Ontario, entered into a joint venture with Neal Brothers , a 30-year-old specialty food brand sold throughout Canada, to develop and sell cannabis-infused edibles. The new joint venture company and Neal Brothers will contribute proportional capital into the joint venture in exchange for a 60% and a 40% interest in the joint venture, respectively. Radicle License The Radicle Medical Marijuana company in Hamilton, Ontario, received its cannabis and production sales license from Health Canada, allowing it to serve the country’s MMJ and recreational markets. Radicle, which has a 140,000-square-foot cultivation facility, is a portfolio company of Canopy Rivers, the investment division of Canopy Growth. Organigram Award Organigram Holdings , parent company of Moncton, New Brunswick, licensed producer Organigram, was a silver winner in the Company of the Year-East Canada category in Best in Biz Awards, an independent business award program judged by editors and reporters from leading publications in North America. The awards program drew nearly 700 entrants that were judged in 70 categories, including Company of the Year, Fastest-Growing Com- pany, Best Place toWork, Executive of the Year and Most Innovative Product. The 2018 judging panel included writers from the Associated Press, Barron’s, Consumer Affairs, Healthcare Innovation News, Investment Advisor Magazine, The NewYork Times andWired. Clinic Chain Partners With Peak Pharma Solutions Canada House Clinics , the clinic division of Canada House Wellness Group , a medical cannabis company, entered into a strategic partnership with Peak Pharma Solutions , a full-service, strategic contract sales organization.
