Ontario Cannabis Store Sticks to ‘Plan A’ Despite Lengthy Delays Many customers who placed orders from the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) on the first day of legalization didn’t receive their products for three or more weeks because of a rotating strike by its exclusive shipper, Canada Post. Despite the shipping delays and thousands of customer complaints, Minister Vic Fedeli said the OCS intended to continue using Canada’s main postal company throughout the rotating strikes and would adopt “Plan B” only if there is a general strike. Other Canadian provinces have reported little to no impact on their online cannabis delivery services because of the Canada Post strike. Experts worry the OCS is incurring long-term damage to its reputation as a result of its inability to fulfill orders.
