Ben Cook most recently served as senior vice president of supply chain for Sam’s Club in Bentonville, Arkan- sas, and has been senior vice presi- dent of global inventory management and logistics for Target, as well as director of logistics and supply chain strategy for Apple. New CFO at TGOD The Green Organic Dutchman has a new chief financial officer, Sean Bov- ingdon , who most recently served as chief financial officer at Toronto Hydro, a utility company. Before that, his posts included president and chief financial officer of public and private oil and gas companies.   New Leaders for CannTrust CannTrust Holdings, a leading licensed producer in Ontario, appointed Peter Aceto as CEO. Eric Paul , CannTrust’s co-founder and leader, has stepped down as CEO and been appointed chairman of the board and special adviser to Cann- Trust’s management team. Mark Litwin is assuming the role of vice chairman. CannTrust also appointed John Kaden , managing partner at canna- bis-focused investment firm Navy Green Capital Management, as direc- tor of the company.   Trait Biosciences Gets New Top Execs Trait Biosciences, a U.S.-Canadian biotechnology firm focused on can- nabis, has a new CEO and two other key executives. Joseph del Moral is taking over the role of CEO from Kimberly Harrison , one of Trait’s co-founders, who is moving into the newly created role of chief develop- ment officer. Hannan Fleiman becomes president, while Ronan Levy is the new chief strat- egy officer. Levy and del Moral have also joined Trait’s board of directors. Before Trait, the three new executives founded Cana- dian Cannabis Clinics and CanvasRx, which was acquired in 2016 by Aurora Cannabis. Since then, del Moral, Fleiman and Levy have been active investors and advisers in the industry. British Columbia-Based Marapharm Adds Advisers Marapharm Ventures, a canna-cen- tric investment firm in British Colum- bia with holdings in at least three U.S. states, expanded its advisory team. Marapharm added Richard Huhn to its board of directors. Huhn has more than 15 years of experience in project management, develop- ment, planning, design and construc- tion of gold, palladium, platinum and rhodium mines in Western Canada. Marapharm also made three appointments to its advisory board: • Desmond Balakrishnan , who, since 2004, has been a partner at the Vancouver office of McMil- lan LLP, focusing on M&A, listed company maintenance and gam- ing and entertainment law. • Herman Dekker , a plant nutrition, vermiculture and plant production specialist who has served on various industry boards. • John Mathews , of the UK Engineering Unit of the Ford Motor Co., is a practical designer with more than 40 years of experience in the production and development of numerous industrial devices and systems utilized by corporations in both the United Kingdom and North America.
