Jay Brown is co-founder and CEO of Roc Nation and has appeared on Billboard magazine’s annual Power 100 List. Brown began his career as a publishing executive with Qwest Records and later served as senior vice president at Elektra Entertainment Group and then as executive vice president at Def Jam Records. Stacey Hallerman was previously vice president, chief legal counsel and board member at global luxury brand conglomerate Richemont North America, whose Swiss parent is home to Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Montblanc, and Chloe, as well as senior corporate counsel at pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, where she developed and managed Pfizer’s strategy for global brand protection, enforcement and litigation. International CBD Firm Hires Globe-Trotting CEO Tree of Knowledge International, a Canadian CBD company formerly known as Capital, tapped food and tobacco industry veteran Jean-Paul Gaillard as its new CEO. Michael Caridi , the company’s previous CEO, will remain chair of the board of directors. Gaillard previously served as CEO of Ethical Coffee Co., CEO of Mövenpick Fine Foods, CEO of Nestlé Nespresso and marketing manager for Philip Morris Europe. Gaillard is currently the chair of Coventry Holding Group, a company specialized in mergers and acquisitions and special situations. Ex-New Jersey Governor Joins Colorado Edibles Firm Former New Jersey Gov. James Florio will join the advisory board of Nuka Enterprises, a Colorado edibles company, with the aim of supporting Nuka’s expansion initiatives into New Jersey through his law firm, Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Cappelli. Cannasure Brings On Insurance Veteran Cannasure Insurance Services, which offers insurance to marijuana businesses, hired Kelly Radkowski as a new vice president and regional sales manager. Radkowski, who is based in Las Vegas, most recently served as vice president of com- mercial binding authority at RT Specialty, a wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products and ser- vices. Radkowski previously served as managing direc- tor of Burns & Wilcox’s Las Vegas office, where she managed all underwriting contracts with major carriers and was responsible for the firm’s work with retailers in Nevada. New Trade Group Appoints CEO, Board The Cannabis Trade Federation appointed industry veteran Neal Levine as its CEO. The trade group was formed in April, when the New Federal- ism Fund and American Trade Associa- tion of Cannabis and Hemp decided to pool their resources to push for marijuana reform. Fortin to its board of directors. She has served on boards of large public and private corporations since 2003, including: Loto- Québec, a province-owned company that administers lotteries; UBS Bank (Canada); the Quebec chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors; and VoiceAge. Fortin is a veteran public accountant and serves as a trustee/ adviser for large pension plans, estates and foundations. New Law at GTEC Kelowna, British Columbia-based GTEC Holdings, a diversified cannabis company with interests in several marijuana businesses, hired Lawrence Law as global marketing and branding director. Law previously was employed at Diageo, an international alcoholic beverages company, where he was global brand director for Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Super Premium Portfolio. Cannabis-Focused UK Investment Firm Changes Leaders Sativa Investments, a British cannabis investment firm, appointed Jonathan Peter Wearing as an independent nonexecutive chair and Angus Jeremy Kerr as a nonexecutive director.
