The new rules, which are expected to provide greater business opportunities for MJ entrepreneurs, will eliminate a ban on sales of smokable marijuana, remove the requirement for each dispensary to have a licensed pharmacist and lift restrictions on THC levels. The health board’s reversal came after Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter said the agency had overstepped its authority in adopting measures that were significantly different from the initiative voters approved June 26. Pennsylvania Regulators announced the second round of winners of medical marijuana grower/processor licenses, select- ing 13 companies and further expanding what is poised to become one of the largest MMJ industries in the nation. In addition to the 13 grower/processor licenses, Phase 2 will include 23 new dispensary operators. September 2018 • Marijuana Business Magazine • 31
