Marijuana ETF Makes Trading Debut ETF Managers Group , a Summit, New Jersey, firm that manages exchange-traded funds, launched the cannabis-focused ETFMG Alternative Harvest ETF. ETFs are investment funds that are traded like stocks. The new ETF – with the ticker symbol MJX – made its debut Dec. 26 on the NYSE Arca, a Chicago-based exchange where ETFs are traded. Israeli Cannabis Company Snags DC Partner Tikun Olam , an Israeli can- nabis company, continues to expand into the U.S. mar- ket by way of a partnership with Washington DC cultivator Alternative Solutions . The five-year licensing deal allows Alternative Solutions to grow, manufacture and distrib- ute Tikun-branded products to all five DC dispensaries. Through other U.S. partnerships, Tikun has products in Rhode Island, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois, Nevada and Washington state. Denver Danish Denver-based 3C Consulting and its Danish medical cannabis partner, Cantiva ApS , have won one of 11 national cannabis cultivation and extraction/manufacturing licenses for Denmark’s new medical marijuana market. Toronto-based Shoppers Drug Mart reached an agree- ment to obtain an undisclosed amount of medical can- nabis from MedReleaf Corp. The licensed producer will supply its branded cannabis products to Shoppers, which is expected to sell the products through its online phar- macy — pending approval from Health Canada.
