Kampia, who co-founded MPP in 1995, will become director of strategic develop- ment and will continue to serve on the boards of direc- tors for both MPP and the MPP Foundation. Matthew Schweich , who joined MPP in 2015 as the director of state campaigns, will become the interim executive director until the organization finds a permanent replace- ment for Kampia. MassRoots Gets New CEO After Founder’s Ouster The board of directors of Denver- based MassRoots, the once high- flying canna-centric social media and technology firm, fired founder and CEO Isaac Dietrich and replaced him with vice president Scott Kveton. Kveton previously served as direc- tor of business development at Odava, an Oregon tech firm that MassRoots acquired in July 2017. Under Kveton, MassRoots has filed a civil lawsuit against Dietrich, alleg- ing he stole more than $250,000 from the company. In a civil suit, filed Nov. 14 in Denver District Court, the financially strapped MassRoots also accused Dietrich of “illegal drug use” and “improper sexual activities.” Dietrich – who remains a member of the MassRoots board of directors – called the lawsuit “completely unfounded” and “frivolous.” Plumb Job Prūf Cultivar, a cannabis growing company in Oregon, has hired veteran grower Jeremy Plumb as director of production science. Plumb is co-founder of the Port- land dispensary Farma. He also serves on the technical advisory committee of the Resource Innovation Institute, which focuses on sustainable practices in the cannabis industry. And Plumb is the executive director of the Open Cannabis Project, which is compiling an archival record of all existing cannabis strains. Colorado Company Gets New Cultivation Chief L’Eagle Services, a Denver retail cannabis dispensary and grow, has appointed Phillip Jacobson as direc- tor of cultivation.
