LSU finalized a cultivation contract with Las Vegas-based GB Sciences , which already has started renovating its planned cultivation site. Southern’s Board of Supervisors chose Lafayette-based Advanced Biomedics , which will receive more than $6 million over five years from the university. Friendly Skies for Acres Las Vegas recreational marijuana retailer Acres Cannabis completed a deal to advertise in the in-flight magazine of Las Vegas-based airline Allegiant Air . Acres was slated to run the full-page ad in the low-cost carrier’s Sunseeker magazine in September and October. It appears to be the first time a cannabis company has advertised in an in-flight magazine. DC Dispensary Raises $3 Million Holistic Industries , a medical cannabis company based in Washington DC, raised $3 million from two companies in Florida: Franklin Street , a real estate investment firm, and Full Moon , an investment firm that has invested in marijuana companies in Massachusetts, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
